- The Deputy President of the Senate reminded the Senate that there would be a Pre-Budget Briefing Seminar on Monday, 17th October, 2022, at the Rainbow Towers, Harare in the Main Auditorium.
- The Deputy President of the Senate informed the Senators that Parliament of Zimbabwe was conducting a customer satisfaction survey and that all Honourable Senators were kindly requested to co-operate during the said exercise. Consultants from Heads Hunters International would be administering questionnaires at the Members Dining during sitting days and the 2023 Pre-Budget Seminar.

Question proposed: NOTING with admiration that dams are an essential component/driver for economic development;
APPLAUDING the Government for the momentum gained towards changing people’s economic status, through the provision of opportunities in farming and increased access to potable water by encouraging construction of water bodies
CONCERNED at the low pace in completion of national dams which have the potential to transform people’s livelihoods countrywide;
FURTHER CONCERNED that some uncompleted dams may end up as white elephants thereby disadvantaging some communities in terms of economic empowerment;
NOW THEREFORE calls upon the government to provide adequate funds for the completion of all outstanding dam construction projects countrywide, among them Mirror Dam in Chipinge. - Hon. Sen. Mabika
