Notice given by the President of the Senate in terms of standing Order No.193 (Earlier Meeting of the House in Certain Circumstances)

Whereas the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs on behalf of the President has presented to me, Edna Madzongwe, President of the Senate of the Parliament of Zimbabwe, that the public interest requires the Senate to meet at an earlier time than the Seventeenth of February, 2009 the date to which it stands adjourned, and I am satisfied that the public interest does so require:
Now, therefore, I hereby give notice pursuant to Standing Order No. 187 (Earlier Meeting of the Senate in Certain Circumstances) that the Senate shall meet on Thursday, the fifth day of February 2009, at half past two o’clock in the afternoon.
