- The President of the Senate reminded the House that the 2021 Pre-Budget Seminar would be held from 22nd to 26th October 2021 at the Elephant Hills Hotel in Victoria Falls. Hon. Senators who had not yet confirmed their attendance with the Public Relations Department were advised to do so with Officers who were stationed at the Members Dining on 21st October, 2021. Hon. Members from Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Midlands, and Masvingo provinces were required to drive to Victoria Falls, while those from Harare, Manicaland, Mashonaland West, Mashonaland East, and Mashonaland Central Provinces would travel by air. She advised the Senate that the departure time from the Robert Mugabe International Airport was 1400hrs, on 22nd October, 2021 and the expected arrival time in Victoria Falls was 1500 hours. Members would be picked from Parliament and respective hotels at 1200 hours. The return charter flight would leave Victoria Falls on 26th October, 2021 at 0700 hours and arrive in Harare at 0800 hours.
The President of the Senate also informed the House that, in order to comply with COVID 19 Regulations and to ensure the safety and health of participants, Members were required to have a COVID 19 test undertaken within 48 hours of the Conference. She advised the Senate that COVID 19 testing facilities would be provided in the Parliament Courtyard from 21 to 22 October 2021. Members travelling by road who fail to be tested in Harare would be tested at Elephant Hills Hotel upon arrival. Members travelling by air should be tested in Harare as the COVID 19 test results would be required on boarding the flight. Hon Senators were therefore, required to bring their National Identification Cards and COVID 19 test results.

That this House expresses its profound sorrow on the untimely death on Tuesday 10th August, 2021 of the late Honourable Senator Rejoice Timire who was representing Persons with Disabilities, places on record its appreciation for the service which the late Hon. Member rendered to Parliament and the nation at large;
Resolves that its profound sympathies be conveyed to the Timire family, relatives and the entire Nation.
