  1. The President of the Senate informed the House that His Excellency, the President, Hon. Dr E. D. Mnangagwa would deliver the State of the Nation Address that would mark the Official Opening of Fifth Session of the Ninth Parliament at the New Parliament Building in Mt Hampden on Wednesday, 23rd November, 2022. Additional details pertaining to the relevant logistics was provided for in the information briefs that were circulated to Hon. Senators on Monday 21 November 2022 via their emails.

  1. The President of the Senate further informed the House that the New Parliament Building had not yet been officially handed over to the Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe. A special request to hold the official opening of the Fifth Session of the Ninth Parliament and State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the New Parliament Building at Mount Hampden was made as it was deemed a suitable venue for the occasion.

That this House takes note of the Report of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission for the year 2021, presented to this House of Parliament in terms of section 323(1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.

On the motion of Hon. Sen. Muzenda, seconded by Hon. Sen. Kambizi, moved: that Order of the day No. 2 for today, has been disposed of.

Motion put and agreed to.

  1. Adjourned debate on motion on the Report of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission for the year 2021 (Adjourned 13th October, 2022- Sen. Kambizi)
