After the Auditor General’s report which highlighted gross inefficiencies among local authorities on solid waste management, the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Public Accounts went around the country and they have underscored the need for improved investment in litter management. The Parliamentarians noted that there are a lot of grey areas that need to be attended to as highlighted in the Auditor General’s report.
